Chapter One: The Door That Should Never Be Opened
Saif was never a man of superstition. To him, urban legends were merely fairy tales invented by the elderly to scare children. However, when it came to the mansion on the outskirts of the city—a dark structure known as "Baron Murad's Mansion"—habit and curiosity proved stronger than any logic. Legend had it that the Baron vanished abruptly on a winter night in 1945, leaving all his possessions behind, including a main iron-locked door that no one was ever allowed to approach.
At midnight, Saif stood before the massive wooden door, his flashlight cutting through the heavy darkness. Using professional tools, he managed to break the rusted old padlock. The moment he pushed the door open, a freezing gust of wind hit him, carrying the scent of ancient dust and a strange odor resembling burning timber. He stepped inside with firm strides, completely unaware that the door behind him slammed shut with a terrifying thud, as if it had fused with the wall forever.
Chapter Two: Voices Returning from the Dead
The interior resembled a museum of a bygone era; oil paintings of people whose faces stared strangely in every direction, and furniture covered in white sheets looking like standing ghosts. Saif began documenting the place with his digital camera, only to notice something odd: the digital screens on his camera and phone were showing heavy visual static, as if a powerful electromagnetic interference was present.
Suddenly, the sound of heavy footsteps echoed from the distant hallway, followed by a low whisper:
"You came of your own free will... the door will never open again."
Saif froze in place and turned quickly to find the hallway completely empty. He tried calling for help outside, but his phone displayed a completely black screen with zero signal. When he looked at one of the large oil paintings depicting Baron Murad, absolute terror struck him as he noticed the eyes of the portrait shifting to track his every movement!
Chapter Three: Confronting the Nightmare
Saif ran toward the old staircase leading to the upper floor in search of an emergency exit, but the stairs began crumbling beneath him, and the corridor walls turned into mirrors reflecting his trembling image. Even more terrifyingly, the mirrors revealed a shadowy human figure behind him, stretching out long hands toward his neck.
Saif stopped, shouting in fear: "Who are you? What do you want from me?"
The terrifying voice emanated from every corner of the room like an endless echo:
"We are not foreign spirits... we are your accumulated fears, and now it is time to pay the price."
Pitch black darkness swallowed him, and his flashlight went out entirely. At that exact moment, Saif vanished from the mansion forever, leaving his phone lying on the floor next to the painting—which now featured a brand new face, the face of a young man looking out from within the frame with an eternal expression of absolute horror.
